This green sweet potato smoothie gets its dynamic green shading from the new spinach in it. However, don't be tricked, it won't have an aftertaste like spinach.
Ingredients:
1/2 Sweet Potato, cooked, peel off
1 cup Mango, frozen
1 Banana
2 handfuls of Spinach
1 cup Coconut Milk
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
Ice, if needed
Hemp Hearts, optional
Fresh Mango Slices, optional
Directions:
1.You will want to begin by cooking your sweet potato. I like to
use a fork to puncture the skin a few times and then put it in
my microwave for about 5 minutes or until it is fork tender.
2.After your sweet potato is cooked, the peel will come off
easily.
3.Place 1/2 sweet potato and all of the other ingredients in your
blender.
4.Blend on high until thoroughly combined.
5.Add ice and blend until smooth if needed for temperature and
consistency (ice can thicken your smoothie bowl up a bit and
make it cold).
6.Pour it into a glass.
7.Top with hemp hearts and fresh mango slices if desired.
8.Enjoy cold!
